For Icf-Mostra, on behalf of European Commission D.G. ECHO (Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection), Luc produced series of videos aimed at raising the visibility of nine projects – financed through the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the EU – related to the education of children in conflict affected zones …specifically in the Central African Republic, Chad, Afghanistan, Iraq, South Sudan, Colombia & Ecuador, D.R. Congo, Somalia, and Myanmar.
This included producing an original clip “Dance4Peace” with an original song by and with Wasis Diop featuring Chico from ‘Chico & the Gipsies’, Chris Mayne ( from ‘Duo Native’), Steve Shehan, Anne Gavroin ( with part of ‘L’Opéra de Paris violins ’) ….
Two ‘Video News Releases’ featuring a War Child project in Buniakiri, Northern Kivu, DRC and a UNHCR project in Buenaventura, Colombia.
Editing nine ‘re-mixes’ of the musical clip with the video and musical contributions received from children in the refugees camps who filmed, danced, played music and provided a dancing backdrop.
Use of this audiovisual material to activate social networks during ECHO social media week in September 2015 or at specific occasions like ‘International Day of Peace’ (21 September).
The “EU Children of Peace’” project also includes a film made of photos taken with disposable cameras by children in refugees camps in Colombia, DRC, Iraq, Ethiopia, and Pakistan.
